It all began in a small pool hall in Hartley, Iowa owned by Sharon's grandfather in the 1920s. 

In 1948, her father, Jerry Olhausen, started Olhausen Pool Table Repair Service and Supply, a billiard sales and service business. In 1952 he moved to Las Cruces, NM at the request of the Air Force.

 

In 1990, Sharon Olhausen Chester, and her husband Daniel Chester bought Jerry’s retail business and changed the name to Olhausen Pool Tables.  Today, Olhausen Pool Tables is the largest retail billiard store in New Mexico. 

   

In 2016 Sharon and Daniel opened Jerry O’s Rack Room, bringing a pool hall & bar to the front half of the Olhausen Pool Tables showroom.
